Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources supports Job Seekers in the Central Region to enter the Business World

Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources has launched a training programme entitled “Your Project from Home to the Market” to support job seekers in the Central Region of the Emirate of Sharjah, and to motivate them to enter the world of commerce and business.
Job seekers, holders of various academic qualifications listed in the system of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources and owners of existing home projects, who have the desire or idea to start a new project, joined the programme.
The programme was provided by the Capacity Building and Business Development Consultant, Hamid Al Ali, who addressed three important subjects: idea, plan and execution. He focused on the sources and methods of exploring ideas and opportunities to determine the most appropriate ones, study and plan the project and its start, and implement the project through the execution of the plan put in place.
The existing home projects of the programme’s participants were highlighted, as well as their experiences, activities and case studies were reviewed. The qualification programme was concluded by organising an exhibition that allowed the programme’s participants to present and market their existing home projects.
The programme aims to promote awareness on the concept of entrepreneurship among job seekers, to provide practical practice of the steps to be followed to start pioneering home projects, and motivate the participants to consider entrepreneurship.
Concerning the programme, HE Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources, clarified that the latter is moving towards instilling and deepening the investment culture among the aimed national personnel, especially the job seekers.
He added that the Emirate of Sharjah is under the directives of its Ruler, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of Supreme Council, may Allah protect him, which call for the support of Nationals of the Emirate seeking a job, enabling them to prosper and achieve a decent life in order to reach the desired results in the development of the Emirate’s human resources.
He pointed out that Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources is keen to work under a thoughtful strategy to ensure the achievement of the future goals of the Government of Sharjah, since it has early realised the importance of support of the investment orientation and its pivotal role today in creating valuable job opportunities, achieving development, prosperity and economic and social well-being for Nationals. It has manifested interest in implementing integrated programmes that encourage young people to invest and move from government jobs to entrepreneurship and investment companies.
It is worth mentioning that Sharjah Directorate of Human Resources organised in 2019 several qualification programmes related to the category of job seekers, instilling the culture of innovation in entrepreneurship, including innovation in project management, entrepreneurship and preparation of small projects.
The Directorate also targeted the job seekers from all educational levels and scientific specialties in all the cities of the Emirate and the Central and Eastern Regions, in an effort to lead them to make use of the fertile business environment of the UAE, and the privileges granted by the State in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular, in order to establish and expand investment activities. This would make an effective contribution to the development of the national economy in the State.
